Taiwan-based 3G carrier Taiwan Mobile (TWM) plans to launch a mid-range Android-powered smartphone in the Taiwan market in mid-October with a suggested retail price of below NT$15,000 (US$468), according to market sources.
The company has not ruled out the possibility of launching own-brand Android phones in the future, revealed Cliff Lai, COO of consumer business group at Taiwan Mobile.
